Cara Delevingne Shares New Details About Her Role in 'Suicide Squad'
Movie

The model-turned-actress explains that she will play Julie Moon, who becomes terribly possessed by 'feral' sorceress Enchantress.

Although there have been many "Suicide Squad" pictures and teasers, very little is known about the role Cara Delevingne will play in the upcoming movie. While fans are always curious about the movie, Delevingne finally shares some details about her character, Julie Moon, and "feral" sorceress that possesses her.

"June is an adventure seeker who's always wanted some excitement," she tells Empire. "And she gets what she wished for, but in a terrible way. At the start of the movie she discovers a cavern and finds...something...within."

The "something" Delevingne talks about appears to be Enchantress, who is believed to be possessing June. "She's an ancient sorceress. A feral being. She's been trapped for so long and know she's finally let out," the "Paper Towns" actress says of the magical villain.

This likely means that Delevingne actually plays two different characters. When asked about how she approaches those two contrast roles, she says, "I'd gather the accent, which is deeper and posher than June's. And I'd last Nick Cave's 'Red Right Hand', that song about the devil. Also a lot of Megadeth. Just evil stuff."

Meanwhile, director David Ayer also shared something new about the movie. He uploaded a photo on Twitter which gives a look at the sorceress. "She's making her own rules," so reads the caption. The image is originally taken from the new issue of Empire magazine.

Based on DC comic books, "Suicide Squad" centers on supervillains who are recruited by the government to perform black operation in order to gain redemption. Margot Robbie, Jared Leto and Will Smith lead the cast which also includes Jai Courtney, Joel Kinnaman, Viola Davis, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Adam Beach and Ike Barinholtz. The DC supervillain flick is scheduled for a release in the U.S. on August 5, 2016.
