Beyonce, Rihanna, Kanye West, Jay-Z and Pharrell Williams allege that French clothing company Eleven Paris has unlawfully sold merchandise with their likeness or intellectual property.

A number of pop stars including Beyonce Knowles, Rihanna, Kanye West, Jay-Z and Pharrell Williams have filed a lawsuit against a French clothing company, Eleven Paris. The suit alleges that the company has unlawfully sold merchandise with their likeness or intellectual property.
"Defendants have repeatedly usurped Plaintiffs' names, images, likenesses and/or trademarks for the sole purpose of profiting from the sale of unauthorized and infringing products, including, but not limited to, t-shirts, tank tops, sweatshirts, hats, backpacks and cell phone cases," read the suit alongside some images of the products.
The company allegedly tried to create "false association" with the pop stars by using their images, names, lyrics and "nearly identical in sight and sound" to Beyonce's name for one of the labels. The suit claimed that the plaintiffs have sent the company written warnings, but it's still selling "dozens of infringing merchandise" at its New York City store and website.
For its actions, the company was said to have been "causing immediate and irreparable harm to Plaintiffs." To support the claim that the fashion retailer is damaging their reputations, each of the celebrities has had to establish exactly what their reputations are as they wrote their various accomplishments in the lawsuit.
