Fans have already known that Wade Wilson is not the only Marvel character who will appear in the upcoming antihero movie "Deadpool". The first trailer for the film confirms that Colossus will surely make an appearance. Latest report suggests that the metallic mutant may have a more substantial role in the upcoming movie.

The Merc With a Mouth creator, Rob Liefeld, revealed that Colossus would have a bigger role in "Deadpool". "You guys have seen a glimpse of him in the trailer at San Diego in Hall H, they showed a little bit more of Colossus," Liefeld teased while praising the CGI techniques used for the movie and saying it was the best the character had ever looked on screen. "You are going to love Colossus in Deadpool. He's in it a good amount, he doesn't just walk through the movie."

Colossus had appeared in previous "X-Men" movies such as in the original film released in 2000, "X2", "X-Men: The Last Stand" and "X-Men: Days of Future Past". However, he just had small roles in all of those movies. Since "Deadpool" is giving a larger role to Colossus, some speculated that Wade Wilson might team up with other X-Men members in a possible future film.

Ryan Reynolds stars as the titular hero while Andre Tricoteux plays Colossus. The two are joined by the likes of Morena Baccarin, T.J. Miller, Gina Carano, Brianna Hildebrand and Ed Skrein in the cast. Directed by Tim Miller, "Deadpool" is slated for a release in U.S. theaters on February 12, 2016.
