The Uncle Jesse depicter says that Lifetime's 'Unauthorized Full House Story' is accurate about him suggesting producers replace Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.

A recently released clip of Lifetime's "The Unauthorized Full House Story" suggested that John Stamos complained about Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen, who collectively played baby Michelle. Now, the actor has confirmed it, admitting that he indeed suggested producers replace the Olsen twins.

"It is sort of true that the Olsen twins cried a lot," he said at the TCA summer press tour on Thursday, August 6 during a panel for his new FOX series, "Grandfathered". "It was very difficult to get the shot. So that is actually 100 percent accurate."

He added though that his plan didn't work out. "They brought in a couple of unattractive redheaded kids," said the Uncle Jesse depicter, who will reprise his role for the Netflix revival, "Fuller House". He went on sharing, "We tried that for a while and that didn't work. We were like, all right, get the Olsen twins back. And that's the story!"

Unlike his co-star Dave Coulier who found the upcoming TV movie "hysterical," Stamos is not really against it. He said, "I find humor in all of it." He also praised Justin Gaston who plays him as saying, "The guy is a good looking guy. Pretty dreamy."

"The Unauthorized Full House Story" will premiere Saturday, August 22 at 8 P.M. on Lifetime. Meanwhile, "Fuller House", which reunites most of the original stars, is set to arrive in 2016 on Netflix.
