AceShowbiz - Gwyneth Paltrow has popularized the term "conscious uncoupling" when she announced her separation from husband of 10 years Chris Martin last year. However, she told the September issue of Fast Company it wasn't her who titled the divorce post she shared on Goop.
"When I announced that I was separating on the website, [Goop editorial director Elise Loehnen] titled the piece 'Conscious Uncoupling,' and I had no idea ...." she insisted in an interview with Fast Company. "When something like that happens, I think everybody is like, 'Oh, sh-t.' I just tell them that I think we are creating interesting discussions."
Back in March last year, Paltrow shared a blog post on her lifestyle blog Goop announcing she and hubby Martin had called it quits. "It is with hearts full of sadness that we have decided to separate," they announced in the post titled "Conscious Uncoupling." "We have been working hard for well over a year, some of it together, some of it separated, to see what might have been possible between us, and we have come to the conclusion that while we love each other very much we will remain separate."
Since then, the term "conscious uncoupling" became very popular among people. Paltrow and Martin, who have had two children together Apple and Moses, were said to have reached divorce settlements, including property and custody terms, with the help of their business managers in April this year.
