AceShowbiz - Besides director Bryan Singer, Olivia Munn has been active sharing updates about her upcoming superhero movie "X-Men: Apocalypse". Most recently, the 35-year-old actress took to Instagram to show off her fighting skills for her role as a female mutant Psylocke.
Munn posted a 15-second video which shows herself making some serious martial arts moves. She threw repeated kicks while spinning her body. Some fans were amazed with her skills and hoped that Munn would do all the actions without a stunt double. "Yes! You're going to be a bad ass Psylocke Ms. Munn," an Instagram user commented on the post.
In the comics, Psylocke is a mutant who has telepathy and telekinesis powers and later turns into a ninja assassin who fights with swords she created with her mind, but she is also incredibly skilled with a real sword/katana. Previously, Munn teased fans with a video which showed her sword skills in which the actress twirled a prop sword repeatedly.
"X-Men: Apocalypse" centers on the conflict and war caused by the titular villain (Oscar Isaac) after he awakens from his Egyptian tomb. Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence), Beast (Nicholas Hoult), Magneto (Michael Fassbender) and Professor X (James McAvoy) team up with other X-Men members to fight the newly-unleashed enemy. The movie is scheduled for a release in U.S. theaters on May 27, 2016.
