The movie director shared a photo which features himself standing in front of a giant Egyptian statue.

AceShowbiz - Director Bryan Singer took to Instagram to share a photo of a massive Egyptian set for "X-Men: Apocalypse". The picture features Singer standing in front of a giant statue attached to a wall which has Egyptian relief.

The director peers up at the statue which appears to be Anubis, the Egyptian god of the afterlife. "This takes me back to #raidersofthelostark #notallgreenscreen #xmen #xmenapocalypse," Singer captioned the photo. He didn't provide any details regarding the photo, but he mentioned that it reminded him of "Raiders of the Lost Ark".

Singer also hinted that the upcoming movie was shot using more practical methods. Some previously-released photos from the set, such as the one which features soldiers carrying bows and arrows in the woods, are the evidence that the film will not be shot only using green screen.

Earlier this month, a concept art which revealed Apocalypse's Egyptian resting place had landed online. The photo features a pyramid from which the titular villain will resurrect. It is not impossible if the pyramid is in the same location with the Anubis giant statue as both of them have Egyptian style.

"X-Men: Apocalypse" centers on the conflict and war caused by the titular villain after he awakens from his Egyptian tomb. Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence), Beast (Nicholas Hoult), Magneto (Michael Fassbender) and Professor X (James McAvoy) team up with other X-Men members to fight the newly-unleashed enemy. The movie is slated for a release in U.S. theaters on May 27, 2016.
