As production on the second season of "Gotham" is ongoing, new photos from the set have leaked online. In the latest batch of pictures, Cameron Monaghan who plays Jerome is seen wearing a straight jacket while filming his scene on Wednesday, July 8 in New York City.

Jerome is apparently up to something no good as he's reported throwing gasoline onto a school bus full of students. He's also seen holding a gun and in another moment he's pictured holding a fire hose with another man in similar outfit as Jerome helping carry the fire hose.

Those pictures could be the first look at Monaghan as The Joker on the show. Recently, the actor posted on his Instagram a creepy picture of himself posing like the Clown Prince of Crime, seemingly confirming his role as the big baddie on the Batman prequel series.

In early this year, there had been speculation that the "Shameless" star would portray a younger version of The Joker. Showrunner Bruno Heller later told The Hollywood Reporter that The Joker would be heavily featured in season 2.

"We're going to find out how the hell Jerome, the proto-Joker we met earlier in this season, connects with the Joker as people known him. That's the big focus of the beginning of the second season," he said, "We're going to tell the story of how the Joker came to be."

"Gotham" will return with the second season Monday, September 21 at 8 P.M. on FOX.
