Alexandra Shipp Goes Bald to Play Storm in 'X-Men: Apocalypse'
Movie

A new photo uploaded by director Bryan Singer features Alexandra Shipp sporting a bald head while posing in front of a racing car at the Canadian Grand Prix Formula 1 race.

AceShowbiz - Just three days after director Bryan Singer teased the Cerebro set of the upcoming "X-Men: Apocalypse", he revealed something new about the superhero movie. On Sunday, June 7, he posted a photo on Instagram which revealed a first look at Alexandra Shipp's bald head.

The picture was taken at the Canadian Grand Prix Formula 1 race in Montreal. Shipp posed in front of a racing car and was joined by Sophie Turner, who is playing Jean Grey in the movie. Singer, Shipp and Turner presumably had a day off amid the production of the movie which is also filmed in Montreal.

Shipp was previously seen on the filming location several times, but she always got something to cover her head. In the upcoming movie, Shipp portrays the younger version of Storm, the mutant that can control the weather.

There has been a speculation that Shipp will sport a never-before-seen hair do for the character. She seemingly will rock a mohawk look, the design of which was introduced by Chris Claremont and Paul Smith back in the early 1980s.

"X-Men: Apocalypse" takes place a decade after "X-Men: Days of Future Past" and is a seamless next step in the story. The altering of time has unleashed a new and uniquely powerful enemy. The movie also stars Jennifer Lawrence (Mystique), James McAvoy (Professor X), Michael Fassbender (Magneto), Nicholas Hoult (Beast), Lana Condor (Jubilee), Tye Sheridan (Cyclops), Kodi Smit-McPhee (Nightcrawler) and Oscar Isaac (Apocalypse). It is targeted for a U.S. release on May 27, 2016.
