Petit reaches the rooftop of a skyscraper, walks to the edge, and steps on a slim beam. It also offers a glimpse of the equipment he uses to perform his death-defying action. "I'm going to hang a high-wire between the two towers of the World Trade center and walk on it," he explains to someone.

Petit who is obsessed to walk at height prepares all the things for his dangerous performance along with his team. "No matter where I was going or what I was doing, I was always searching, looking for the perfect place to hang my wire," he says. A small accident can't stop him to balance himself on a high-wire.

"The Walk" is adapted from Petit's 2002 "To Reach the Clouds". It will not be the first adaptation from the book. Previously, "Man on Wire", which was also based on the same book, won Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature in 2008. It was directed by James Marsh ("The Theory of Everything").
