AceShowbiz - Steven Spielberg's 1975 hit thriller flick "Jaws" will make its way back to U.S. theaters for its 40th anniversary. Fathom Events and Turner Classic Movies are teaming up to bring back "Jaws" to 500 theaters across the country.

"Jaws" will be screened on Sunday, June 21 and on Wednesday, June 24 at 2:00 P.M. and 7:00 P.M. local time. The screenings will feature a specially produced, context-setting introduction to the killer shark classic from TCM Weekend Daytime host Ben Mankiewicz.

"Jaws" is credited with inventing the summer blockbuster and set the record for the highest grossing of all time until "Star Wars" debuted in 1977. Back in 2014, a group of industry voters ranked the film Hollywood's No. 24 favorite movie.

Starring Roy Scheider, Robert Shaw and Richard Dreyfuss, the shark attack flick cost just $9 million to make based on Peter Benchley's novel of the same name. It opened with $7 million on its first weekend and recouped its production costs in two weeks. It later brought a total of $460 million worldwide.
