AceShowbiz - "Grace and Frankie" gets renewal from Netflix, thanks to Miley Cyrus. The streaming service picks up the sitcom for the second season shortly after Miley proclaimed her love for the show on twitter. "I found my show! #GraceandFrankie," she wrote. "On a bender! Jane & Lily are so bad a$$!"
"Let me say, it's so awesome to do a show on Netflix," co-creator Marta Kauffman said. "Because two and a half weeks after we launched, Miley Cyrus does a Tweet about your show, and they call and say, 'We'd like to do a season two.' So yes, there is a season two. We have Ted [Sarandos, a Netflix executive] and Miley to thank."
The show premiering on May 8 stars Jane Fonda as an uptight business woman and Lily Tomlin as a hippie art teacher. The odd couple is thrust together following revelations that their lawyer husbands, Martin Sheen and Sam Waterston, are romantic partners.
