Kim Kardashian Signs Petition to Help Kelly Rutherford Get Her Kids Back

The 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' star has urged her fans to sign petition to President Obama to return Kelly's children back to the U.S.

AceShowbiz - Kim Kardashian has sent her support to Kelly Rutherford to help her get her kids back. On Tuesday, May 12, Kim signed a petition to "implore the Obama administration to return Kelly Rutherford's children safely to the U.S.A."

The "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star wrote on Twitter, "I usually don't get involved in other people's lives especially if I don't know them but this story I've been following &as a mom touched me. I signed this petition bc I believe it's the right thing to do & if u believe in it please sign it @KellyRutherford."

North West's mom followed it up, "I know I don't know you @KellyRutherford but as a mom I feel your pain and I wish you the best of luck! I hope you see your babies soon!" Kelly then replied to Kim, "@KimKardashian I am in tears. Thank you so much! From me and my kids!" Kim added, "@KellyRutherford you're so welcome! I'm so happy my mom @KrisJenner brought your story to my attention! Good luck to you!!!!"

Kim's mother Kris Jenner also showed her support for Kelly, tweeting, "#childrensrights #wecandothis Please sign the petition 4 the White House 2 help bring @KellyRutherford kids home." Kelly's "Gossip Girl" co-star Ed Westwick, meanwhile, posted a photo of them along with caption, "This is my friend @KellyRutherford. You (yes,you) have the power to help her get her kids back."

Kelly has been in bitter six-year long international custody battle with her ex-husband Daniel Giersch. According to the petition, Kelly's children "were forced by a California judge to live in France with their German father, (nobody is French) after he claimed his U.S. visa was revoked, and he could not enter the U.S." Recently, Daniel also filed papers seeking to strip Kelly of all her parental rights.
