The Mystique depicture hints that 'X-Men: Apocalypse' will become her final appearance as the blue-skinned mutant in the franchise.

AceShowbiz - It seems that Jennifer Lawrence is done with "X-Men" franchise. The Oscar winner hints that she won't reprise her mutant role after the upcoming "X-Men: Apocalypse" which is due May 27, 2016. She told MTV News, "It is my last one, actually."

Lawrence made her debut as Mystique in 2011's "X-Men: First Class" and then returned in "X-Men: Days of Future Past" last year. Before her surprising statement about leaving the franchise, there were chatters about a possible Mystique spinoff.

In the next "X-Men" movie, Lawrence is joined by returning cast like James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult, and Evan Peters. The new additions include Sophie Turner, Tye Sheridan, Kodi Smit-McPhee, and Alexandra Shipp as younger Jean Grey, Cyclops, Nightcrawler and Storm.

Aside from "Apocalypse", Jennifer Lawrence will also be seen in "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 2" and "Joy". She recently premiered her flick "Serena", which marks her third collaboration with Bradley Cooper after "Silver Linings Playbook" and "American Hustle".

The movie will be released on VOD, which she wasn't exactly sure what it was. "I don't know what VOD is. I thought it was some sort of disease," she jokingly told Variety. "I think it's a huge crisis. Let's talk about it, build awareness about it." Meanwhile, her co-star Cooper said, "I think it's great."
