A source says the Showtime revival of the 1990 cult series is still on track with Lynch, co-creator of the original series, involved in pre-production process.

AceShowbiz - "Twin Peaks" co-creator David Lynch gave fans a scare when he said at a Q&A event Australia last week that the Showtime reboot was "still up in the air." He said he wasn't sure if the project would happen, claiming, "There are complications."
He later revealed during an appearance on Australian TV show "The Mix" that there were contract negotiation issues. "I haven't returned yet, and we're still working on the contract, but I love the world of 'Twin Peaks' and I love those characters," he said.
However, a source close to the show says the "Twin Peaks" reboot is not put on hold, let alone is in jeopardy. "Nothing is going on that's any more than any pre-production process with David Lynch," the source tells EW. "Everything is moving forward and everybody is crazy thrilled and excited."
Showtime officially announced "Twin Peaks" limited event in October 2014. Kyle MacLachlan was later confirmed to return as Agent Dale Cooper. David Lynch is expected to direct all nine episodes of the series.
