"Birdman" is adding another award to its growing list of accolades. On Sunday, February 15, the 29th Annual American Society of Cinematographers (ASC) Awards handed Emmanuel Lubezki with a trophy for his cinematography in "Birdman". The new trophy is the fourth for Lubezki who also won with "The Tree of Life", "Children of Men" and last year's "Gravity".

"Birdman" is also a contender in Cinematography category at the upcoming Oscars. Lubezki will compete against Robert Yeoman ("The Grand Budapest Hotel"), Dick Pope ("Mr. Turner"), Roger Deakins ("Unbroken") as well as Lukasz Zal and Ryszard Lenczewski ("Ida").

In TV, Jonathan Freeman won his third ASC trophy for "Boardwalk Empire" in the category of Episode of a Regular Series. John Lindley was named a winner in Television Movie, Miniseries or Pilot with his work "Manhattan".

The ASC also handed out honorary awards at the Sunday event. Receiving the Board of Governors Award, Barbra Streisand joins previous honorees such as Christopher Nolan, Jodie Foster and Julia Roberts. Speaking onstage, the "Evergreen" singer mentioned previous cinematographers who worked with her in various films. Other people who received honorary awards included Matthew F. Leonetti (Presidents Award), Bill Roe (Career Achievement in Television Award) and John Bailey (Lifetime Achievement Award).
