AceShowbiz - Best pals Justin Timberlake and Jimmy Fallon joined forces to kick off the "Saturday Night Live" 40th anniversary special on Sunday, February 15. Fallon appeared onstage first, before Timberlake interrupted the funnyman before he even finished the first line of his song.
The two then launched into a tribute rap mentioning former cast members and famous sketches, like the "Schweddy Balls", the Blues Brothers and the "Lazy Sunday" digital short, of the show. Timberlake also made a reference to his "Dick in a Box" digital short with Andy Samberg.
Rachel Dratch joined them onstage, reprising her Debbie Downer persona, only to remind everyone that episodes which started with a musical number never performed well rating-wise. Molly Shannon also appeared during the opening number as her famous character Catholic schoolgirl Mary Katherine Gallagher.
Later on the show, Bradley Cooper and Betty White surprised the audience as they made out in a skit. Taylor Swift and Kerry Washington were other A-listers who took part in the sketch.

Maya Rudolph channeled Beyonce Knowles like she often did when she was still a regular player on the variety series. Tina Fey, Amy Poehler and Jane Curtin were back behind the "Weekend Update" desk, while Melissa McCarthy paid tribute to Chris Farley.
