Anna Kendrick once again shows off her amazing vocals chops, this time on her version of "On the Steps of the Palace". Premiered in full on USA Today on Wednesday, December 3, it is the actress' contribution to the soundtrack of Disney's upcoming movie "Into the Woods".

On the song, Kendrick who plays Cinderella in the adaptation of Stephen Sondheim's Broadway musical sings about her Prince, played by Chris Pine. Some lyrics have been changed for the film. "But then what if he knew who I am when I know that I'm not what he thinks that he wants," she sings. "And then what if I am?/ What a prince would envision?"

The "Into the Woods" movie is adapted from Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's Broadway musical of the same name. "I had a really great and unique experience with Sondheim because he was changing the lyrics slightly to 'Steps of the Palace', so I got to work closely with him on that," Kendrick told Playbill magazine earlier this year.

"And, by closely, I mean, he was around giving me new lyrics, and I stood there and tried not to mess them up! That was obviously really exciting to realize that the material was still living and breathing and that I got to be a part of a song that was changing for the film adaptation," she added.

The film, also starring Meryl Streep, Johnny Depp and Emily Blunt, is hitting U.S. theaters on Christmas Day. Its soundtrack will be available everywhere starting on December 15.
