AceShowbiz - The full winners list from the 2014 Gotham Independent Film Awards has been revealed. Among notable winners at the event which took place at Cipriani, Wall Street in New York City on Monday, December 1 were Julianne Moore who nabbed Best Actress trophy for her performance in "Still Alice" and Michael Keaton who was awarded with Best Actor for "Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance)".

"It's kind of crazy that in this extraordinary and diverse group of actresses that someone should be singled out. I love independent film. It was where I finally found myself as an actor and it means so much to me to be recognized in this way. Thank you very, very much for this," Moore, who plays a woman with Alzheimer's disease, said of her win.

Steve Carell, Mark Ruffalo and Channing Tatum were also awarded with a special Gotham Jury Award for their performance in sports drama "Foxcatcher". Carell, who accepted the trophy on behalf of the trio, said that caring and trust contributed to their solid group work.

"An ensemble, a sports team, an orchestra, it's a sum of the parts, and it is a matter of being selfless and being generous. Channing and Mark are incredibly generous actors, and we all just wanted to make each other as good as we can be, and I think it paid off. They're great guys, and there was a real bond between the three of us," he said.

Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu's "Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance)", meanwhile, won the coveted Best Feature award. The movie beat other contenders including "Boyhood" which was just announced as Best Picture at New York Film Critics Circle Awards. "I will say this award will help move forward the conversations that Michael Keaton and I have been having with Marvel Studios to make 'Birdman 4'," the director joked. "Since its inception, this film has given me joy. Independent films, no matter what, they have something to say."

"Citizenfour", a documentary by Laura Poitras which focuses on Edward Snowden, won Best Documentary. Audience Award trophy was awarded to "Boyhood".
