The 'Jumping the Broom' actress has filed for divorce from her estranged husband, citing the usual irreconcilable differences.

AceShowbiz - Paula Patton has filed for divorce from her estranged husband, Robin Thicke, in a Los Angeles court. According to TMZ, Paula cited the usual irreconcilable differences as the reason of their split.

The "Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol" actress is seeking joint legal and physical custody of their 4-year-old son, Julian. According to the site, the divorce is "harmonious" and "there are no real issues that will cause a conflict." Paula listed the date of her separation from Robin as February 21.

Paula and Robin announced their separation in a joint statement eight months ago, saying, "We will always love each other and be best friends; however, we have mutually decided to separate at this time."

Following their split, Robin made some efforts to win his wife back. Back in June, the 37-year-old singer-songwriter made an apology to his wife on stage at the BET Awards. "I'd like to dedicate this song to my wife, and say, 'I miss you, and I'm sorry.' This is called 'Forever Love'," he said before performing "Forever Love", a song from his "Paula" album.

However, in July, Robin admitted he was at loss to win his wife back. "I actually have no idea what I'm doing," he told the host of "Good Morning America", "I'm just kinda flying by the seat of my pants on this one."

Paula first met with Robin in 1991 at the age of 16. She began dating the "Blurred Lines" singer in 1993 and tied the knot with him on June 11, 2005. She gave birth to their son in 2010.
