AceShowbiz - One Direction has earned a spot in the Guinness World Records 2015 book. Ahead of the September 11 release of the book, the Guinness announces the British/Irish boyband is the first act to have their first three albums debut at No. 1 on "the standard-bearing American chart."

The group's "Midnight Memories" is their latest chart-topping LP. It debuted at No. 1 on Billboard 200 following its release late last year. Previously, their first album "Up All Night" and their sophomore set "Take Me Home" also entered the same chart at the top slot.

The boys recently received their Guinness World Records certificate when bringing their "Where We Are Tour" to New Jersey's MetLife Stadium. Member Niall Horan made the announcement before thousands of fans at the venue.

"This really is one of our proudest moments, both for us and our incredible fans," he said. "Whenever we talk about it we always say how cool it is that we did it first, how sick is that?!"

One Direction is currently working on their fourth album. It's still unknown when the yet-to-be-titled project will be released, but the band's members have already been teasing it on social media.

"The new album is coming very soon and i'm very excited :D," Zayn Malik recently said on Instagram. Meanwhile, Horan said on Twitter, "Just listening to tracks from the new album! Jesus this is exciting ! really can't wait for u to hear this album! By far my favorite yet."

Other music's big names appearing in the Guinness World Records 2015 book are Miley Cyrus and Shakira. The former Disney star-turned-prolific-twerker is named the "most searched for pop star on the internet," while the Latin diva whose Facebook page has 100 million "likes" is the "most liked person on Facebook."
