The 'Burnin' It Down' singer has set record for most downloaded songs after garnering 21.5 million digital track sales and on-demand.

AceShowbiz - Jason Aldean has just added an impressive record to his resume. According to the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), Aldean is now the most downloaded male country artist ever. The "Burnin' It Down" hitmaker is named Top Male Country Artist in the history of RCAA's Digital Gold & Platinum Awards after raking 21.5 million digital track sales and on-demand since 2005.

In a statement following the exciting news, Aldean thanks his fans for their contribution to the achievement. "This is such a huge honor, and one that everyone on my team earned together," he says. "I love country music, and I wouldn't want to be doing anything else ... there was never a Plan B for me. I can't thank the RIAA or country music fans enough for helping us get to this level ... it's unbelievable!"

Aldean's latest single "Burnin' It Down" was sold 183,000 copies in the first week of release, Nielsen SoundScan reports. The singer is currently hitting the road for his tour which will take place until October. In addition to his tour schedule, Aldean is preparing for his sixth album which will arrive later this year.

"I'm excited for this record," he told CMT Hot 20 Count Down of the project. "It's gonna be fun, and there's gonna be a lot of tempo stuff on there. There's also gonna be some things that sort of take you in a different direction every now and then, and then there's things on there that are just great songs."
