AceShowbiz - Billboard Magazine recently released its list of the "100 Greatest Country Artists of All Time," but the exclusion of Jason Aldean, a prominent and commercially successful figure in the genre, has sparked significant backlash. Among the critics is Aldean's wife, Brittany Aldean, who did not hold back her sentiments, blaming "woke" politics for the snub. She shared a post on Instagram highlighting her husband's accomplishments and suggested that his conservative political beliefs were a factor in Billboard's decision.

"Remember when I said it's been a journey standing up for what we believe in?? This is a prime example of Jason being left out of things in the industry. [Billboard] your wokeness obviously overrides your ability to give credit where it's due, and it's sad," Brittany wrote.

The Aldeans have been outspoken supporters of former President Donald Trump. This past July, Jason and Brittany were seen seated next to Trump on the fourth night of the Republican National Convention, emphasizing their political stance. The couple's vocal support has led to various forms of backlash within the entertainment industry, including being left out of significant events and opportunities.

Two of Aldean's bandmates, Tully Kennedy and Kurt Allison, echoed Brittany's sentiments, attributing the exclusion to politics. "I don't know what's funnier @billboard. How ridiculous this makes you look or the fact that you think it would bother us," Kennedy posted, highlighting the chip on their shoulder as motivation. Allison added, "What a joke @billboard - but not surprising considering the source."

In defense, Billboard's editors stated that their selection was not based solely on commercial success. According to the editors, "While commercial success was a factor, artistry, longevity, and enduring influence counted just as much. Because it's too early to gauge the long-term impact of many of the newer acts yet, the list leans largely on artists whose place in country music history is already secure."

Despite the controversy, Jason Aldean remains steadfast in his beliefs and career. He took to social media to reaffirm his support for Trump and the values he holds dear, encouraging others to vote. "As a father and an American citizen, I want to see our country get back to its values and principles that made us great to begin with," he wrote, using the hashtag #Noregrets.
