Following her performance earlier this week on "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon", New Zealand singer/songwriter Lorde gave a rendition of her double-platinum hit "Royals" as the featured artist on "Good Morning America" fall concert series on Friday, October 4. The 16-year-old pop singer performed the Billboard Hot 100 chart-topping song at Times Square, a cut off her debut album "Pure Heroine" released last month.

For just her second performance on a U.S. TV program, Lorde exuded such a confident air as she performed the song in her black and white outfit. Her demeanor may have come from having toppled no less than Miley Cyrus and her latest hit song "Wrecking Ball" from the top spot of the Billboard singles chart.

Lorde's "Royals" was first the debut song from her 2012 "The Love Club EP" that went on to be included in her 2013 album "Pure Heroine". It was released back in March as the album's lead single, a song that expresses contempt for the lavish lifestyle of celebrities which the young artist says she will not fall into.

Just released last week and fueled by the Hot 100 reign of "Royals", "Pure Heroine" is expected to easily break into the Billboard album chart as well. With an estimated 110,000 to 120,000 copies to be moved in its debut week, it is looking to snatch the third spot in the top ten.
