Amber Tamblyn has booked her permanent residency on "Two and a Half Men". The actress, who joins the show in the recurring role of the late Charlie Harper's illegitimate, lesbian daughter Jenny, has been promoted to series regular after appearing in just one episode.

Jenny is described as a "sexy" and "gorgeous" 21-year-old girl who "likes everything her dad liked, including women" and "uses her hotness when she needs to." She moves from New York to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career and connect with remaining family members and has moved in with Walden (Ashton Kutcher) and her uncle Alan (Jon Cryer).

Tamblyn, who is known for her roles as Tibby Rollins in "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" movies and as Martha M. Masters on FOX's medical drama series "House M.D.", was initially tapped for a five-episode arc. She was added to the cast to fill the void left by Angus T. Jones, who played Alan's son Jake Harper since the first season, as his status is now reduced to regular following the actor's decision to attend college.

Series creator Chuck Lorre said at the TCA summer press tour of how Jenny's arrival would change the show, "I think it would be great to have a voice on the show from a different perspective. The show has had enough testosterone to last a lifetime."
