After having a blast at New York's Barclay's Center where the MTV Video Music Awards was held and she won a Moonman for her "Come and Get It" clip, Selena Gomez headed to Los Angeles to attend the premiere of her new film, "Getaway" on Monday, August 26 at Regency Village Theatre. The former Disney girl stole attention as she glowed in a Vera Wang dress.

The 21-year-old actress and singer was all smiles when stepping out on the red carpet rolled at Regency Village Theatre. She greeted fans, signed autographs and even took pictures with some lucky fans. Gomez was then joined by her handsome co-star, Ethan Hawke, who looked dapper that night in a suit. Jon Voight and Rebecca Budig were some other cast members on hand for the big event.

In the film, the "Love You Like a Love Song" songstress stars as an unwitting owner of a custom Shelby Cobra Mustang, which Hawke's character rides on a high-speed race against time to save his kidnapped wife's life from a mystery man holding her hostage. Courtney Solomon and Yaron Levy direct from a script by Sean Finegan and Gregg Maxwell Parker.

Though it was the first time for her to team up with Hawke, Gomez revealed that she had great times. "He just would tell me stories about the previous projects that he's been a part of ... I remember writing down so many notes and things that he would say because he was really supportive and obviously amazingly talented," she shared in an interview.

From Warner Bros., "Getaway" will race into theaters on this Friday, August 30.
