The Silver Fox says on Twitter that he couldn't understand why the actor got a pass for using homophobic slurs.

Anderson Cooper was not impressed with Alec Baldwin's angry tweets turned homophobic rants recently. The CNN anchor wondered out loud on Twitter, "Why does#AlecBaldwin get a pass when he uses gay slurs? If a conservative talked of beating up a 'queen' they would be vilified."
He then re-tweeted a post from CNN producer Steve Krakauer, who quoted a part of Baldwin's tirade against a Daily Mail reporter. "[I'd] put my foot up your f**king ass, George Stark, but I'm sure you'd dig it too much," it read. Krakauer added a question, "What does that mean, Alec?"
Baldwin lost his cool over a report that his pregnant wife Hilaria Thomas was tweeting during James Gandolfini's funeral. Following the online meltdown, the "30 Rock" actor deleted his Twitter account and later offered explanation for his choice of words.
"My ill-advised attack on George Stark...had absolutely nothing to do with issues of anyone's sexual orientation. My anger was directed at Mr. Stark for blatantly lying and disseminating libelous information about my wife and her conduct at our friend's funeral service. As someone who fights against homophobia, I apologize," he said.
