After being the Starks' hostage and held captive by Lord Bolton, Jaime Lannister [SPOILER ALERT!] finally returned to the King's Landing in the season 3 finale of "Game of Thrones". In an interview with Hero Complex, actor Nikolaj Coster-Waldau talked about the Lannister family reunion and what the long and rough journey all this time meant to his character.

"Finally he's back," he said, apparently was as excited as his character was. "I think that moment, he comes back, he arrives in King's Landing. In the street, there's this street vendor, and he's more or less pushed out of the way. They just see a dirty bum. His reaction is a little puzzled, but at that point, he is in many ways a changed man. I thought that was a great way to show that."

Jaime has turned into a more humanized person after taking the trip with Brienne. He even confessed to her why he slayed the Mad King Aerys Targaryen. Calling the confession "very special," he gushed, "I had never done anything like that where I had such a long buildup of anticipation."

The Danish actor went on gushing about the moment in the episode "Kissed by Fire", "It was such a pivotal moment for him. It's a big scene, a lot of words, he's been very close to dying. There's a lot of elements to be aware of just on a technical level - and you're in a bathtub and you have this fake arm you have to deal with."

While he claimed he didn't know what would happen to Jaime in season 4, he's excited about it. "This is the first time we're going to have the Lannisters together - [Tywin] with his kids," he said. "I can't wait to explore that. I hope to have a moment, a scene with the King, Joffrey."

On Jaime's reunion with Cersei, he commented, "They've both missed each other, they see each other and then [they realize], 'Here we are, oh.' A lot of things have happened.... It's a closure for that journey."
