Miguel may face a lawsuit after an audience member who became the victim of his failed jump at 2013 Billboard Music Awards is "considering" to sue the singer. Vip Bhola, the attorney of the show's audience member Khyati Shah, tells E! News that the decision whether Shah will take a legal action or not will be decided soon after receiving a recent medical test result.

The attorney says that his client experiences "difficulties" after the "Kaleidoscope Dream" singer accidentally landed on her during a performance at the event. "We will determine that after we have feedback from medical providers," Bhola states. He refuses to say when the legal action will take place. However, he adds that there is possibility of a settlement.

The R&B singer attempted to leap on the other side of the stage, jumping across audience when he was performing his hit "Adorn" earlier this month. The singer, however, could not execute the leap successfully. He ended up landing on two women's head and/or neck.

Shortly after the incident, Miguel and Shah were interviewed by Billboard backstage. "Well, I think it's kind of clear what happened," Miguel told Billboard's editorial director Bill Werde. "But I'm very happy to bring my new friend, Khyati, we just met. Unfortunately we did not meet under the best circumstances, but I think we're okay," he said.

Miguel explained the incident, "The crazy thing is, when you're performing and you're just kind of into it, you never know where it's gonna go and where you're gonna go with it and how that might turn out. So this is one of the less favorable moments."

Shah, who was nursing an injury on her arm with an ice pack, looked excited being interviewed with her favorite performer. "I adorn him," she said, making a pun with the title of the song he performed that night.
