Lionsgate has debuted the first poster for its upcoming thriller "I, Frankenstein" via IGN. The motion poster sees the film's leading man Aaron Eckhart as Adam Frankenstein at a distance. Wearing a hoodie under a dark-colored jacket, Eckhart is seen giving a menacing look, seemingly hinting at how deadly his character is.

Adapted from Kevin Grievioux's graphic novel of the same name, the upcoming film from director Stuart Beattie is set in a dystopic present where vigilant gargoyles and ferocious demons rage in a battle for ultimate power. Victor Frankenstein's creation Adam finds himself caught in the middle as both sides race to discover the secret to his immortality.

In an interview with Collider, Eckhart shared his thoughts of his latest flick. "Oh yeah, you take a modern tale of the monster of Frankenstein, put Kali sticks in his hands, and then you put gargoyles and demons and good and evil in it... and we're talking about a kick-ass movie," he said.

The Harvey Dent of "The Dark Knight" then continued, "We worked really hard on it. It's got a lot of action. I did all the fighting myself, 100|percent|, pretty much except for one fall, so I'm really proud of that."

Also starring Yvonne Strahovski and Bill Nighy, the film is set to open in the United States opposite Arnold Schwarzenegger's "Ten" on January 24, 2014.
