The tattoo artist and model reveals that she and her fiance Deadmau5's wedding is inspired by short story 'The Call of Cthulhu', which tells about a half human and half octopus character.

Following their unconventional Twitter proposal, Kat Von D and fiance Deadmau5 are planning to have an unconventional nuptials. Kat revealed her plan on saying "I do" in an underwater-themed wedding, which she chose because she and her electronic-musician fiance shared mutual love for H.P. Lovecraft's short story about a character that is half-man, half-octopus, "The Call of Cthulhu".
Assuring everyone that the wedding would be "the furthest thing from traditional," Kat said that the Los Angeles celebration party would include performers in mermaid costumes, 200 guests, and various blue and green-colored food. As for her wedding gown, Kat explained that it would fit the theme.
"It will have a sleek silhouette and include hints of iridescent teals, blues and deep violet ombre gradients," the 31-year-old tattoo artist said. She admitted that the gown which would be made by Falguni and Shane Peacock was co-designed by her fiance. "I didn't know the dress was supposed to be a surprise," she added.
Kat and Deadmau5 got engaged back in December 2012. Deadmau5 took to Twitter to actually propose to his girlfriend. "I can't wait for Christmas so ... Katherine Von Drachenberg, will you marry me?" he tweeted and attached a photo of a diamond ring along with a caption read, "Changing the diamond to black diamond FYI. Sorry for the jpg... they'll finish the actual ring soon I hope."
Kat was previously engaged to actress Sandra Bullock's ex-husband, Jesse James. They called off their engagement in September 2011.
