Amanda Seyfried is featured channeling iconic porn star Linda Lovelace in a vintage "Deep Throat" faux poster for her upcoming biopic, "Lovelace". Coming out via The New York Times, the one-sheet sees Seyfried in black and white and highlights her daring red lips.
Aside from the fresh poster, the much-talked-about biopic unleashed two brand new stills. One of the pictures highlights Seyfried donning a white frock while standing on a stage, while the other one presents the lead actress sitting inside a car with Peter Sarsgaard (who plays her husband Chuck Traynor) in front of Alex theatre where "Deep Throat" is screened.
In "Lovelace", Seyfried portrays the titular star, who was an ordinary schoolgirl in Florida before she met and married her abusive husband Traynor. The husband transformed her into the world's most famous adult film star, who was notably known for starring in 1972's hit hardcore porn film "Deep Throat".
Of starring in the anticipated biopic, Seyfried said, "This film is really, I feel, the beginning of something else for me." Meanwhile, director Rob Epstein added that the movie will invite the audience to see Lovelace's "psychology at the different stages of her life, and when she's ready to look at her life differently, we're ready to tell the story differently."
Co-director Jeffrey Friedman also chimed in, "Her story bridges the period from the sexual revolution to feminism, and she was a key figure in both of those moments."
Being set to be released in the U.S. theaters sometime in 2012, "Lovelace" also stars Sarah Jessica Parker, Juno Temple, Wes Bentley, Sharon Stone, Adam Brody, Eric Robert, Hank Azaria, Chris Noth and Robert Patrick.
