Following reports that Kelly Clarkson got a huge boost in the digital sales of her album "Stronger" after endorsing him, Ron Paul gave a shout-out to the singer during a recent visit to Valley High School in West Des Moines, Iowa. "Does anybody here know the name Kelly Clarkson?" he asked the students.
"Recently, she endorsed me," the 2012 Republican presidential candidate went on to brag. "I had to admit, I didn't know a whole lot about her, but I did know that our supporters were so enthusiastic about it they went out and bumped up sales of her record by 600 percent."
The sales of Clarkson's album soared just 24 hours after the winner of "American Idol" first season sparked controversy for voicing her support toward Paul. Back then, the CD rose from No. 41 to No. 13 (around 200|percent|) on Amazon's "Movers & Shakers in Music" list.
