The 'A Team' actor is reportedly set to make a cameo as Superman's archenemy Luthor, a character which Adam Harris was previously rumored to play.

General Zod won't be the only Superman's nemesis in "Man of Steel", if the rumors are true. While it is widely known that Michael Shannon has been cast as Zod, words spread recently that Bradley Cooper might appear as Lex Luthor, a role which Adam Harris was previously being eyed for.
An insider revealed to Cosmic Book News that the "Limitless" actor will make a cameo appearance as Luthor in the upcoming movie. Should the report be true, he will be the youngest actor to play the supervillain, who was previously made famous by such senior actors as Gene Hackman in 1978's "Superman" and Kevin Spacey in 2006's "Superman Returns".
Back in April 2011, it was said that the first draft of "Man of Steel" script has Luthor as the lead villain. It included a plot in which Luthor forces Kryptonians through a Phantom Zone portal by using Kryptonite in the final battle. The antagonist also considers forcing Superman through as well, but he fails. In the same month, however, Warner Bros. Pictures announced that the lead villain in the film will be General Zod.
"Man of Steel" is slated for a June 14, 2013 release in theaters across the United States. Henry Cavill tackles the titular part, and is joined by Amy Adams, who stars as Lois Lane; Russell Crowe and Ayelet Zorer, who play Superman's Kryptonian parents; and Kevin Costner and Diane Lane, who portray his adoptive parents.
As for Cooper, this is not the first time he gets linked to superhero-genre movies. He was previously eyed to star in both "Green Lantern" and "The Flash". The actor will next be seen in drama movies, including "The Words", "The Place Beyond the Pines" and "The Silver Linings Playbook", which all will be released in 2012.
