After dating Erin Brady for five years, Steven Tyler might be ready to give marriage another go. The buzz suggesting that the Aerosmith frontman might have gotten engaged grew after his longtime girlfriend was spotted wearing a sparkler on her ring finger over the Christmas weekend.
The couple, who has been together since 2006, was at the time enjoying a vacation on the island of Maui, Hawaii. According to TMZ, sources close to the 63-year-old rocker claimed the diamond worn by his 38-year-old girlfriend is indeed an engagement ring. It is still unclear, however, when he proposed to her.
Should the rumors be true, this would be Steven's third marriage. The "American Idol" judge was previously married to Andy Warhol model Cyrinda Fox and to clothing designer Teresa Barrick. His first marriage ended with a divorce in 1987, and so did his second marriage, which came to an end in 2005.
During a recent interview for "Oprah's Next Chapter", Steven told Oprah Winfrey he believes he could remain monogamous with Erin. "I don't want to hurt anybody again. For all the divorces I've had, I hurt those girls deeply," he explained. "There was some behavior that I'm ashamed of and I shouldn't have done."
