Warner Bros. Pictures has shared a new poster for "Green Lantern". The one sheet, which is debuted via official Facebook page of the film, features a better look at Peter Sarsgaard as Dr. Hector Hammond, one of Hal Jordan's opponents.

A pathologist son of a senator, Hector turns into a disappointment in his father's eyes. As he comes into contact with a material from outer space, he gets the power to find confidence and plan to achieve greatness. Unfortunately, the power leads him to a giant-head monster.

"Green Lantern" revolves around Ryan Reynolds' Hal, an ordinary man chosen by a dying alien named Abin Sur (played by Temuera Morrison) to receive a green energy-powered ring used for protecting the planet. As a new enemy called Parallax threatens to destroy the balance of power in the universe, the fate of Earth lies in Hal's hands.

In addition to the actors mentioned above, the movie adapted from D.C. Comics has Blake Lively star as Carol Ferris, Hal's love interest. Mark Strong, in the meantime, takes the role of wicked Sinestro. Directed by Martin Campbell, the film is scheduled to make its way out in theaters across the nation on June 17.
