Executive president of Bravo bids the cast goodbye, adding he's hoping to work with them in some capacity in the future.

As predicted, Bravo's "The Real Housewives of D.C." cannot live beyond season 1. On Thursday, April 7, Half Yard Productions informed the cast, which includes White House crasher Michaele Salahi, that the show will not be picked up for a second season. This marks the first cancellation in the "Housewives" franchise.
"We had an amazing season and we told stories that were unique to any other in the franchise. I wish all our DC Wives the best and hope to work with them again in another capacity," Andy Cohen, Bravo's executive vice president of original programming and development, said in a an e-mail to Washington Post.
In addition, Cohen said that he's ready to move on to a new venture with Half Yard.
The "D.C." franchise was hype in the beginning of the season but the rating only averaged 1.4 million viewers. By comparison, it's only half of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" finale in January. Also a newbie, "Beverly Hills" has been renewed for a new season.
