AceShowbiz - "Transformers" actor Shia LaBeouf is going to serve behind the lens for a short film to support Kid Cudi's new single "Maniac". The news emerged after a picture of Cudi holding a white sheet with message "Maniac, Kid Cudi, Cage - Dir: Shia LaBeouf " hit the web.
Cage is one of Cudi's collaborators in "Maniac", and he has confirmed the mini movie rumor on his Twitter, writing "Oh yeah we're doing a short film." Earlier this week, they performed on "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" with the other featured guest St. Vincent.
This is not the first time Shia LaBeouf directs a music video. Last year, the "Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps" star helped Cage film visualization for his song "I Never Knew You". The two forged a friendship ever since and it is no wonder when he is tapped for another project where Cage is involved.
Kid Cudi is also no stranger to working with A-list actor in his music video as he has worked with Josh Hartnett in "The Pursuit of Happiness" clip. This rapper will release "Man on the Moon II : The Legend of Mr. Rager", where "Maniac" is listed, across U.S. on November 9.
