Justin Timberlake may be in serious consideration to play Hal Jordan in 'Green Lantern' as reports said that the actor has been auditioned for the leading role.

While Warner Bros. is still working on to find an actor for the leading role in "Green Lantern", AICN comes up with the latest casting scoop suggesting Justin Timberlake is in serious consideration. The site has noted that their source mentioned the 28-year-old singer has already screen tested for the part of Hal Jordan in the superhero movie.
Words are, the studio has listed Timberlake in the short list of the actors to portray the hot-shot Air Force pilot who is chosen by a dying alien to be his successor. He allegedly is in competition with "The Hangover" star Bradley Cooper and "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" actor Ryan Reynolds. If the six-time Grammy Award-winning singer nabbed the part, it will be his first major role.
Warner Bros. is said to be in a dire need to make a quick decision of who they will select as Hal because the holding deal the studio had on the actors expired Monday, July 6. Still, it looks like it will be difficult for them to choose since director Martin Campbell and producer Donald De Line and Warners each has a different favorite among the three. Warners has ordered up two rounds of screen tests with the three candidates.
"Green Lantern" is a superhero movie based on fictional character who appears in comic books published by DC Comics. Originally planned to be released in December 2010, the action movie is now slated for June 17, 2011 U.S. release.
