A behind-the-scenes video of "Inglourious Basterds" has been debuted during Quentin Tarantino's special guest mentor appearance at "American Idol" on Tuesday, April 14, but The Weinstein Company have come up with an extended version of that featurette. Word is, this extended version has been dubbed to be the "too-hot-for-TV".
Though the behind-the-seen video mostly contains similar footage to the one shown during the "American Idol", it still reels in many never-before-seen footage from the epic movie. Opened with a clip showing Tarantino saying "Because we love making movies!" with the crew, the video continues to present clips from the movie. It displays more of Brad Pitt's Lieutenant Aldo Raine and his basterds as well as teasing the first look at Mike Myers as General Ed Fenech.
"Inglourious Basterds" is an ensemble war film from filmmaker Quentin Tarantino. Set in Nazi-occupied France, it begins when Shosanna Dreyfus witnesses the execution of her family at the hand of Nazi Colonel Hans Landa. Narrowly escaping the brutal murder, Shosanna flees to Paris, changes her identity and plans a revenge. Elsewhere, Lieutenant Aldo Raine assembles a group of Jewish soldiers known as The Basterds. Joining forces with German actress and undercover agent Bridget von Hammersmark, they set on a mission to take down the leaders of The Third Reich.
This World War II film will see Brad Pitt, Melanie Laurent, Diane Kruger and Christoph Waltz. They will also be supported by Mike Myers, Samuel L. Jackson, Maggie Cheung, Julie Dreyfus, and Eli Roth among others. The movie is targeted for August 21 U.S. release.
