A representative for Dave Grohl has confirmed that the Foo Fighters' frontman-songwriter and his wife Jordyn Blum are expecting their second child. No other details are given and no due date has been disclosed at time of writing.

Grohl, 39, and Jordyn, 32, have been married since August 2003. They already have one daughter, named Violet Maye, who was born in April 2006.

Playing his fatherhood for daughter Violet, Grohl was known for playing tunes for the little girl even before she was born. He has said she "likes The Beatles. Doesn't really get down to The Beach Boys. Digs Mozart."

Revealing more about Violet, Grohl also was quoted as saying she "looks like my wife and acts like me. It's a nuclear combination. She's going to be a 6-foot tall supermodel with a really wicked sense of humor and a Mensa I.Q." He went on gushing, "Violet can work a room like Billy Crystal, I swear. It's 'The Violet Maye Grohl Show' every night, and no two shows are ever the same. She's out of her mind."
