Lil Wayne has managed to put his single at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart making it his first number one single from his long musical career.

AceShowbiz - Since starting his musical career in 1999 until 2008, Lil Wayne never really managed to get his single reaching the #1 spot in the music chart. Now his luck seems to get its turn as the rapper's latest song "Lollipop" takes the #1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The new single is taken from his upcoming album "The Carter III" set to be released on June 10, 2008.

Besides getting busy with his new single's promotion, Wayne will also be joining Kanye West and other artists to perform at the Summer Jam 2008 to be held on June 1 at Giants Stadium. Other famous names also scheduled to perform in the concert are T-Pain, Ray J, Rihanna, Yung Berg, Gym Class Heroes and many more.

Back to the Billboard chart, Wayne's 'Lollipop' journey to the top wasn't that easy as it managed to beat last week's number one single Leona Lewis "Bleeding Love" which now dropped one spot to #2. Jordin Sparks' "No Air" feat. Chris Brown stand its ground at #3, while at #4 the position still hasn't changed as it is still being kept by Usher with his "Love in This Club" feat. Young Jeezy. Mariah Carey also holds her position at #5 with "Touch My Body".

Another track making a progress this week is Madonna's "4 Minutes to Save the World" feat. Justin Timberlake which takes #6 position from Ray J & Yung Berg's "Sexy Can I" which now dropped to number 7. Meanwhile Chris Brown's "With You" slipped one place from #8 to #9 and was replaced by Sara Bareilles' "Love Song". And the last position at the top 10 was taken by Miley Cyrus with her single "See You Again".
