Kelly Clarkson has been working with OneRepublic's frontman on her new album and is very inspired by Garbage and Mozart.

AceShowbiz - Much-penned with her latest release, Kelly Clarkson is set to change her music color in the next album. The American Idol's first winner will be working with producer and OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder, who had penned Leona Lewis' "Bleeding Love", on the materials for her fourth studio album.

Tedder said that the new set from Clarkson will feature "big choruses" and "heavy drum programming". On the selection of sound, the songs will be influenced heavily by Garbage's music while a song will be a mid-tempo rock ballad that features an experimental bridge inspired by Mozart.

"My December", Clarkson's 2007 release was criticized for her departure from her pop sound to more rock and goth-inspired music. Prior to the album's release, sources said that Clive Davis, the head of her label Sony-BMG, was dissatisfied with the album, citing it to be too dark and negative.

Despite the negative reviews, "My December" debuted at #2 on the Billboard albums chart with sales of approximately 291,000 copies and has been certified platinum in U.S. as in December 2007.
