Mary J. Blige's 'Pains' Knocked Down Reigning 'Noel'

Mary J. Blige's eight studio album has claimed the #1 spot on Billboard Hot 200 as sale on Josh Groban's Christmas album goes down.

AceShowbiz - With Christmas holiday setting in, Josh Groban's Seasonal album 'Noel' steps down from its five-week reign at #1 on Billboard Hot 200. With a 68 per cent drop in sales, 'Noel' is pushed to #3 this week, replaced by Mary J. Blige's 'Growing Pains' that moves 2-1.

Blige's eight studio album, in its second week after its release, sold 204,000 copies only seconded by Alicia Keys' 'As I Am' that continues being in Top 5 since its release on November 13. Keys' album that came strong with her single 'No One' was sold 193,000 copies, 5k more than Groban's.

Coming in at #4 is Now 26 compilation that moves 98,000 copies, followed by Chris Brown's 'Exclusive' that climbs 10-5 with 87,000 copies sale. Eagles' 'Long Rod Out of Eden' had a 72 decrease in sale to 85,000 copies, leading to a 4-6 slip. At #7 is Garth Brooks' 'The Ultimate Hits' that sells 77,000 copies despite a 56 per cent decrease.

Taylor Swift's self-titled album that was catapulted back to the top ten position in its 59th week, is staying intact at #8 by selling 77,000 copies. Miley Cyrus' 'Hannah Montana 2: Meet Miley Cyrus' joined the chart at #9 for selling 73,000 units while Colbie Caillat's 'Coco' has a big jump this week from no. 17 to no. 10 by shifting 72,000 copies.

Additionally, Radiohead's first physical release of 'In Rainbows' in U.S. entered the chart at #157 with 9,000 copies sold despite the fact that it had just been released on Tuesday, January 1.
