Radiohead's album may be not qualified for 2008 BRIT Awards, but the band continues with the promotion of the album.

To retain the legacy of the rules on BRIT Awards, Radiohead's album 'In Rainbows' as well as Prince's 'Planet Earth' will not be eligible to win in the award next year.

Nominees of the BRITs are determined when a single or album enter the top 75 of U.K. charts in the past 16 months, and since 'In Rainbows' was released online with no specified price, it was therefore unable to be counted in the chart. Similarly, Prince's album was released along with a purchase of Sunday Mail that cost only $2.80 per set.

2008 BRIT Awards will be held on February 20 at London's Earl's Court and broadcast live on ITV1. Nominations will be revealed during the announcement on January 14 at London's Roundhouse. Rocker Ozzy Osbourne and his wife Sharon are tapped to be the host.

Meanwhile, Radiohead have hatched a tour plan in Europe beginning June next year although some dates and venues were left blank. They have also decided that the first single from 'In Rainbows' would be 'Jigsaw Falling Into Place'. It will be released as a single with 'Down is the New Up', 'Last Flowers' and 'Videotape' as the B-side.
