Master P is taking break from his hectic schedules, spent time to go back to school Thursday September 13th. The veteran gangsta rapper spent about an hour talking to students at Monroe Middle School in Charlotte about the importance of education and good financial management upon received an email sent by Math teacher Bonnie Mwanda who asked him to stop by the school, after learning he would be in Charlotte to promote a book.

Master P grew up in public housing in New Orleans and later became a performer who sold millions of albums. Kicked off his career from nothing, he already started a record label and even played professional basketball. His son Lil' Romeo is a rap star as well.

Speaking to some 800 cheering students, Master P discussed the importance of education, becoming financially literate and developing a vision for success. "Y'all know I started off on the wrong track," so he told students in the gym. "The most important thing I've done with my life is clean my act up. I'm sorry for making the music that I made without thinking about y'all."

At the end of the meeting, Master P made the students a promise, "If the principal tells me y'all have a good year, I'm going to bring Romeo back to do a concert."
