The CGI-animated restart of the crime-fighting franchise, "TMNT", wonderfully strives hard in its debut to collect a superb income of $24.2 million, thereby takes over the No.1 spot from "300" on the weekend box office for March 23-25, 2007.

Though has to be content seating as the runner-up this time, the epic saga telling about Battle of Thermopylae satisfyingly keeps scoring high in its third spin on the chart as it manages to pull a still-sizeable $19.8 million, preventing another potential newcomer "Shooter" to go any higher than number three after it turns out to fare lesser at $14.5 million.

Bowing on the next two positions are "Wild Hogs" and "The Last Mimzy", the former drawing another $13.8 million in its pocket while the latter garnering $10 million to make up the big five of the list. Horror feat "The Hills Have Eyes II" trails close behind on number six with $9.6 million followed by Columbia Pictures' drama thriller "Premonition" which is able to scoop $9.5 million in its second run in the competition.

Meanwhile, two other new releases "Reign Over Me" and "Pride" delightfully make their way to scoop up respective income of $7.4 million and $3.5 million to firmly stand on the eighth and ninth slot with James Wan-directed flick "Dead Silence" slipping to number ten after merely adding $3.4 million into its pocket.
