Felony gun possession charges against Young Buck and fellow rapper Lloyd Banks were dropped Wednesday November 8th at the request of prosecutors. "This whole experience reminds me of the title of my new album, Rotten Apple," Banks commented.

Buck and Banks, both are G-Unit members, were arrested in August 2005 when the van they were riding in with several other men ran a red light. Officers said that after a further investigation they discovered a loaded handgun and another weapon in the vehicle.

Prosecutors asked a judge to dismiss the charges after an investigation determined that neither Buck nor Banks had possessed the guns. Barbara Thompson, spokeswoman for Manhattan District Attorney Robert Morgenthau, said that one suspect has pleaded guilty in the case; another remains under indictment.
