In this outrageously irreverent comedy, Adam Sandler stars as Zohan, an Israeli counter-terrorism commando who is the best of the best, effortlessly defeating his nemesis, the Palestinian militant known as The Phantom, played by John Turturro. But Zohan harbors a secret dream far from the battlefield: to become a world-famous hairstylist in New York City. Faking his own death, he escapes to America and reinvents himself as a hairdresser, only to find his new life in a small salon run by the beautiful Dalia, portrayed by Emmanuelle Chriqui, is anything but peaceful. Zohan’s unorthodox methods and hidden past soon collide with the realities of his new neighborhood, forcing him to navigate a culture clash, a suspicious cab driver played by Rob Schneider, and old enemies who refuse to stay buried. Directed by Dennis Dugan, this high-energy farce blends slapstick humor with a surprisingly heartfelt look at finding common ground, all while Zohan uses his unique set of skills to snipe split ends and chase a dream no one saw coming.
