When a group of college friends re-unite four years after graduation, anything can and will happen.
Meet Elise (Amy Adams) and Michael (Adam Garcia), the perfect couple who have been dating seemingly forever. Unlike most young couples, they have everything one can wish for - a beautiful house, an upcoming wedding, and a crew of close friends, all coming into Los Angeles for the weekend nuptials. As they each arrive at the house, joyous reunions quickly turn into awkward meetings that bring up both sweet and painful memories.
Like any group of friends, this crew is an array of characters that stretch across the boards. Rich (Aaron Stanford) and Samantha (Melissa Sagemiller) are the best man and maid of honor who are also toying with taking the next step towards the altar. Lana (Mena Suvari) is a neurotic acress with an unstable love life. When all the men she's ever slept with, the forlorn Pockets (Johnny Abrahams), children's show host Donovan (Ethan Embry), and drunken actor Simon (James Van Der Beek), all show up for the wedding, chaos ensues. Rounding out the group are Quentin (Colin Hanks), an agent who falls hard for the bride's sister (Marnette Patterson). Jennifer (Lauren German), the bride's former roommate with a secret, Franklin (Roger Avary), the definition of Hollywood director, and Jonathan (Xander Barkeley), the groom's long lost father, attempting to re-enter his son's life.
As an emotional, physical, and hysterical roller coaster of a visit begins, old friends learn new things about each other. Past relationships are dealt with. New relationships begin. And the boys have one hell of a bachelor party in Las Vegas. Love, sex, friendship, fear, family, parenthood and secrets show that these kids have a lot of growing up to do. Sometimes just standing still and facing the past will allow you to go on with the future.
